Internal Bleaching
Internal bleaching is the process of whitening a tooth that previously had a root canal.
Teeth with root canals will discolor over time. For this procedure, a resevoir is made on the top portion of the tooth. The bleaching agent is placed inside and sealed. Periodic evaluations are made every few weeks to determine the appropriate shade to the adjacent teeth.
Internal bleaching generally takes 3-4 months to achieve the desired result. Results do vary and sometimes require external bleaching that can be done with your general dentist.
